How I wish we can cycle without the fear of being banged by motorists on the road. Actually the best way to see hsitory and culture rich small towns like Malacca and Penang is by cycling, but then the roads nowadays are so dangerous, crowded with boisterous car drivers and notorious motorists. Cycling is a good way to see the town at our own pace and time, besides exercising while we are at it. Often it beats being restricted to tour packages.
In Penang, many ride mountain bikes up and down the hills and there is a community of cyclists there that does it regularly. It is a good form of exercise besides basking in the morning and evening wind....
