Satay is considered
similiar to
shish kebab but somesay it
began with chinese immigrants selling it on the streets. Whatever it is , satay is
amost synonymous with
Mlay cuisine. Satay is usually marinated beef, chicken or mutton
in slightly larger than bit
e size pieces skewered on thin bamboo sticks, then
barbecued over a charcoal flame. The hawker flips it every now and then, basting it with oil and fanning
the flame to ensure even cooking.
