One the largest man-made lake in South East Asia is called Tasik Kenyir or Kenyir Lake. It contains 340 small islands, 25 waterfalls and 30 rivers feeding the lake. Surrounded by the lush tropical forest, there are also limestone caves. This huge lake serves as a strategic gateway to Taman Negara through Tanjung Mentong.
More than 300 species of fresh water fish such as tilapia and catfish can be found, attracting anglers to come to Tasik Kenyri for fishing. It is best to arrange for special trips through the various chalet or private boat operators.
